TeamstersCare Drops Walgreens From its Pharmacy Network Effective 1/1/14
Walgreens is terminating its package delivery contract with UPS as of January 1, 2014 and contracting with Federal Express, a non-union carrier, for all their shipping services. For this reason, and because TeamstersCare will realize some savings by making this change, Walgreens will no longer be a network pharmacy for TeamstersCare/Express Scripts prescription drug coverage as of January 1, 2014.
This means that as of January 1st, you will not have coverage to fill prescriptions at Walgreens Pharmacies.
Transferring your current Walgreens prescriptions to another pharmacy is easy. Just ask the new pharmacy to transfer your prescription for you.
