As a TeamstersCare BCBS member, you have a telehealth benefit through Well Connection. Medical experts are encouraging video visits with a clinician in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak. If you have less serious concerns, such as sore throat, rash or minor injury, telehealth is a great option. You can limit your exposure to viruses like influenza or coronavirus. Your telehealth visit will require the same copay as if you were to visit your PCP.
Sign up by downloading the Well Connection App or connecting to wellconnection.com from your computer or tablet. You’ll need to provide some basic information about yourself, as well as your BCBS subscriber ID number and credit card information. Once you’re enrolled, it’s easy to set up a virtual appointment. Choose the type of service, medical or behavioral health, and select a provider. Right now, due to the increased demand for telehealth visits, the wait time for your appointment may be longer than usual. Of course, at this time, your wait at a doctor’s office may be longer than usual as well.
Remember, if you sign up for Well Connection between January 1, 2020 and September 30, 2020, you’ll be eligible to receive 25 points/dollars in the 2020 ahealthyme Wellness Program.
