The 2016 TeamstersCare Steps Challenge Is Coming Soon!
Do you have what it takes to inspire others to take steps toward better health? Or maybe you’d rather just join up quietly? Whatever your role, you can help your team win big by exceeding your daily step goal in the 2016 TeamstersCare Steps Challenge!
Walk your way toward better health, enjoy some healthy competition with your coworkers, and earn 25 wellness points to redeem for a $25 gift card.
Enrollment begins on January 11, 2016. The challenge begins January 18, 2016.
Individual success To successfully complete this challenge and be eligible for your 25 wellness points, you will need to log 294,000 steps within six weeks—an average of 7,000 steps a day, using your Fitbit® device.
Team success Wellness points are earned individually, and team rankings are based on the team’s step average. The team with the highest average number of steps at the end of six weeks will be the winner! Participants on the winning team will receive a Teamsters Local 25 fleece jacket.
What’s next? Want to create a team? Get together with 6 to 12 of your coworkers—don’t forget to come up with a creative team name.

If you haven’t already, follow these steps to link your Fitbit to ahealthyme.
- First-time Fitbit users only: Once you’ve received your Fitbit device, you must register the device on the Fitbit website. Registration is a one-time process. First-time users, please visit: http://www.fitbit.com/setup and follow the instructions provided. Optional (but recommended): To download the Fitbit app on your mobile device, follow these instructions: http://www.fitbit.com/devices.
- Once your Fitbit device is registered on Fitbit.com, log in to your ahealthyme account (ahealthyme.com/login).
- Click on the gray Fitbit widget on your ahealthyme dashboard.
- Enter the log-in details that you created for your Fitbit.com account. Click the pink “Allow” butto You’ll see the “Your Fitbit account has been registered” notification in the Registration section. You are now ready to start logging your steps!
