UPS Part-Time Benefits


If you are an eligible United Parcel Service (UPS) part-time employee, your TeamstersCare coverage will differ in both the benefits you receive and your eligibility rules.

UPS Part-Time Benefits

If you work 225 or more hours for UPS in any three-month eligibility determination period, but fewer than 400 hours, you are eligible for the following TeamstersCare benefits:

  • Medical care and hospitalization
  • Behavioral health
  • Pharmacy and prescription drugs
  • Dental care
  • Vision care
  • Hearing care
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

However, you are not eligible for:

  • Weekly disability
  • Life insurance
  • AD&D insurance

UPS Part-Time Eligibility

As a UPS part-time employee, the same eligibility rules apply to you as full-time employees, except that you have to work 225 hours, rather than 400 hours, in a three-month eligibility determination period.

In the event you do work 400 or more hours in a fixed eligibility determination period, you will receive the same benefits as full-time employees during the corresponding three-month coverage period.
